Home Seller Tips - How to sell a house to a Generation X and Y home buyer

Home Seller Tips They don't have many kids, they put career over family, the leave jobs if they are unhappy...regardless of pay, and they find everything...EVERYTHING, online. I'm talking about the misunderstood yet highly evasive Generation X and Y.

Understanding the way they think and the way they work is the key to a successful real estate career. The first thing you need to know about a buyer or seller who is in this generation is that they don't care about money...that's not what its about. For them, finding a home they love and cherish is more important than how much it is. Even when they are on a budget, they still want to find a place that speaks to them. Be sure to pay attention to the details and write things down. Also, don't forget to make showings as fun and conversational as possible.

Throughout your home seller and home buyer relationship remember not to talk down to them but instead give them positives and negatives and let them make the final decision. The great thing about Generation X buyers is that if they are using you for their home search, most likely they will become a client eventually. Why? Because Gen X and Y always researches everything online and propbably choose you after exploring your competitors options. Take advantage this!

As we mentioned earlier, money is not the central factor of home buying for Gen X and Y buyers...lifestyle is. When you are marketing a property where the targeted audience in a Gen X or Y buyer be sure to include details about the lifestyle, local restaurants and other featurs that make that neighborhood better.

A few more things to remember include the fact that when it comes to communication be prepared to adjust your strategy to non face to face tht relies heavily on email, texting and online search.
